Molecular Microbiology has become the hottest laboratory area and rapid technique to detect bacteria, fungiand viruses using DNA probes are now become the part and parcel of routine diagnosis of infectious diseases. More over Molecular Microbiology tests helps in faster detection of etiologic agents and there by helps in escalating and deescalating the antibiotics.

PCR techniques now been used routine because of their faster mode of detection than the culture and affordability .Hence in nearer future it will not be a surprised that molecular microbiology tests may entirely replaces culture methods.

We at Microcare laboratory have facility to molecular microbiology diagnosis for the treatment of infectious diseases and have the state of art facilities for testing various bacterial, fungal and viral agents.

We are the first lab in south Gujarat, approved by Government of Gujarat, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for H1N1 Testing in Private sector.

This test is intended for the detection of Influenza A , H1N1 virus (Swine Flu). Real Time PCR assay is based on the detection of 3 targets in the sample namely influenza A, H1N1(Swine Flu, Seasonal Flu), Influenza B.

We are now processed more than 300 samples for H1N1 with the remarkable turnaround time of 24 hours. This helps the clinicians to deescalate from Tamiflu therapy if the test is negative and continue in case the test is positive.

Faster H1N1 testing helps to withdraw the Tami flu tablets from the therapy and there by reduces the toxicity of this drug which is well known. Collection facility available.
